On July 28, 2026, Chongqing Jianfeng Haokang Chemical Co., Ltd. organized a comprehensive emergency drill for a major hazard source, simulating a leakage at the outlet valve of the No. 1 methanol storage tank. The day before the drill, Jianfeng Haokang conducted specialized script training, with the shift crew of the formaldehyde unit playing assigned roles, ensuring that all personnel were familiar with their responsibilities and that the drill closely mirrored real-life conditions.

At 9:28 a.m., a simulated massive leakage occurred at the outlet flange of the No. 1 methanol storage tank. One operator was knocked unconscious on the ground after inhaling methanol vapor and suffering skin contamination. At the same time, the electrostatic cross-bonding of the pipeline broke, and a rainwater valve was damaged, creating a combined risk of explosion/fire and water pollution.

In response to the emergency, the company rapidly activated a tiered response escalation: from Shift Level 3 → Operating Department Level 2 → Company Level 1. All emergency response teams worked in coordination: the Rescue Team performed leak sealing under pressure and deployed water mist dilution; the Medical Team promptly carried out decontamination and first aid for the injured; the Security Team evacuated personnel and guided external rescue units; and the Expert Team provided full-process technical support.

Following coordinated multi-party response, the leak point was successfully sealed, all wastewater was fully recovered, ground resistance met the required standards, and atmospheric and water quality testing results were compliant. The situation was brought under full control, and the Level 1 emergency response was terminated.

After the drill, the company conducted an on-site summary and evaluation. Each team will submit a corrective action list, and the assessment team will issue an evaluation report and complete the filing process, forming a closed-loop management chain of "Drill → Evaluation → Rectification → Closure," further strengthening the company's workplace safety and prevention system.
